THE HALLOWEEN TRAIN

QPSR is pleased to announce that Bookings for the Ghost Train have now opened.

Join us for a twilight run on the spookiest night of the year as we take our steam locomotive on an eerie run where the setting sun and the rising moon cast ghostly shadows through the carriage windows, where the flickering carriage lights play tricks on passengers and where the staff become a little more ghostly than normal.

Want to make your evening one to remember? Why not go for a VIP Ticket. Start your evening a bit earlier at the Racehorse Hotel with your fellow passengers as you are presented with a spread of Halloween themed finger food. You will also have the best seat in the house to see the train pull in to the station and a carriage reserved specifically for the VIP group - there will also be activities for kids and adults alike and onboard entertainment.

THE VIP TICKET (3.00pm and 5.30pm Start Welcome and Canapés)

Children $11
Concessions $15

THE STANDARD TICKET (4.00pm and 6.30pm Departure - Train Trip and on board activities)

Join us at Queensland Pioneer Steam Railway as  we join with the Ipswich Centenary of Anzac committee to turn back the clock to the war years and recreate the ‘Troop Trains’ that worked their way from country to city, from the Bight to the Cape moving men and materials for the World Wars. The locomotive carriages and station will be turned back to their war years appearance and the troops will again ride the rails, and you have the chance to ride with tem and share the experience. This trip will also include an open day at Bundamba Racecourse Station, where visitors can see military displays vehicles and re-enactments, war films shown in the surrounds of an old military tent.

Come along dressed in either 1910 or 1940 costumes and have a exciting, enlightening and educational day out, with food available on site.
